From personal contributions and special events to business tax credit programs, we offer a variety of avenues to contribute to the future success of our children and our community.
YOU can make difference! In fact, individual contributors to CVEF come from all walks of life. While many gifts are made by check, you can also make a difference through "planned giving" - bequeathing cash gifts, securities, life insurance policies, real estate or gifts from retirement plans. If you or your spouse work for a company with a matching gift program, please consider CVEF for your charitable efforts. Support initiatives you believe in and dramatically bolster the impact of your business gift. CVEF receives contributions through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. Your business can receive tax credits up to 75% of its contribution to a maximum of $750,000 per year. And, if your business commits to making the same donation for two consecutive years, your business can receive a tax credit up to 90% of its contribution. Our signature fundraising event, the Golf Classic is fast becoming one of the must-play golf tournaments of the Fall! The CVEF Golf Classic features championship golf in a modified scramble format, cocktails and dinner followed by a live raffle and auction. Numerous sponsorships and hospitality opportunities enhance the tournament, held annually in September.
In the tradition of Churchill Downs, enjoy the next best thing to being at the track on race day! Dine on a traditional Derby menu and sip mint juleps while watching a live showing of the Kentucky Derby amid the panoramic views of Lancaster County. Ladies' and men's hat contests, wagering for spectacular donated prizes and live entertainment highlight this memorable event. The support of sponsors is graciously appreciated.
Imagine a reward that both recognizes the important contributions teachers, secretaries, custodians and other support staff have made this school year and provides new educational opportunities to CV students… That's what our Staff Tribute Program does! Consider making a monetary donation to CVEF in the name of a special employee and your gift will be returned to CV students as funding for new, innovative programs. Individuals are notified of all gifts in their honor. The CVEF Staff Tribute Program is a popular and thoughtful holiday gift for a teacher! No gift is too small.
