Since 1991, the Conestoga Valley Education Foundation (CVEF) has been investing in the creativity, innovation, and potential of Conestoga Valley classrooms. Through grants to teachers and educators, CVEF helps bring inspiring ideas to life—supporting educational experiences that go beyond what traditional school funding can provide.
Over the years, CVEF has awarded more than $2 million in grants, giving Conestoga Valley educators the opportunity to explore new approaches, introduce innovative programs, and create meaningful learning experiences for students.
Our work is guided by three simple principles: Inspire. Innovate. Invest. We inspire students by expanding what's possible in the classroom. We empower teachers to innovate by supporting their ideas and creativity. And we invest in the future of Conestoga Valley by bringing together businesses, community members, alumni, families, faculty, staff, and private donors who believe in the power of education.

The Conestoga Valley Education Foundation is guided by a volunteer Board of Trustees made up of community leaders who share a commitment to the future of Conestoga Valley students and educators. Together, our trustees provide leadership, oversight, and stewardship to help CVEF fulfill its mission of empowering teachers and inspiring students.
Through their service, trustees help shape the Foundation's priorities, strengthen community partnerships, and ensure that CVEF's resources are used thoughtfully to create meaningful opportunities for students. They champion our three guiding principles—Inspire. Innovate. Invest.—and work to support creative ideas that enrich learning throughout Conestoga Valley schools.
A key responsibility of the Board is overseeing CVEF's grant program. Twice each year, a committee of trustees reviews grant applications from Conestoga Valley educators and helps determine which innovative classroom projects will receive funding. These grants give teachers the opportunity to bring new ideas, experiences, and approaches into their classrooms beyond what traditional school funding can provide.
Trustees also serve on committees focused on areas such as community relations, fund development, and governance. Board terms are four years, and many trustees continue to serve multiple terms, bringing their experience, perspective, and dedication to the Foundation's work.
CVEF's work is strengthened by a broader community of volunteers who share our commitment to Conestoga Valley students. Volunteers support Foundation initiatives and events, including the annual Golf Classic, helping build awareness and support for the innovative educational opportunities CVEF makes possible.
Together, our trustees and volunteers help turn community support into opportunities for teachers—and meaningful experiences for students.
Audrey McClune is a proud Conestoga Valley alumna, Class of 1999, and a former Conestoga Valley high school English teacher. She continued her teaching career in Maine and Virginia while relocating with her husband during his 20-year service in the U.S. Navy.
Audrey has been involved with several nonprofits, including the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society and SEEDS, and has served on the Conestoga Valley Education Foundation Board for two years. She lives in the Conestoga Valley School District with her husband and two children, who attend Conestoga Valley schools.
