Grant Submission

The Conestoga Valley Education Foundation is committed to promoting the growth and success of CV youth with grant projects that enhance the educational opportunities for our students. Your application has a much better chance for funding if it addresses the mission and goals of the Foundation. Grants can be submitted any time of year, but we review grants on October 1st and April 1st.

MISSION STATEMENT

To promote the growth and success of Conestoga Valley youth by providing resources to enrich their current learning opportunities, values, well-being and cultural experiences with the support of teachers, staff and community members.

Guided by our goals, we will:

1. Prioritize funding creative and innovative programs
2. Assist with impactful programs not funded by specific sources of revenue
3. Support ongoing signature programs adopted by the board and reviewed on an annual basis

Grants will be given higher priority if they:

• Embody a creative and innovative initiative
• Benefit a higher number of students
• Involve multiple grade levels or buildings
• Encourage teacher collaboration
• Enhance everyday learning without replacing current curriculum

Generally, CVEF grants will not cover:

• Food costs
• Lodging and transportation
• Coverage for a single or small number of students
• Payment for substitute coverage
• Field trips
• Gifts, rewards or student incentives
• Replacement or addition of current equipment/supplies

REMINDERS:

• DO include any shipping or assembly costs
• DO NOT include sales tax (CVEF grants are exempt)

Before completing a grant application, please discuss your project with your supervisor, subject area specialist, or department head (whichever applies to your role), as well as your principal.

This step matters — sometimes a project doesn't align with building or district goals, can't be supported within future budgets, or may already be part of an existing initiative. We don't want you to invest time in an application for a project these individuals aren't able to support. CVEF works closely with the district to ensure every grant we fund aligns with curriculum, goals, and budget, so getting this conversation done early saves everyone time and helps set your application up for success.
